Success Tips I've learned



I just recently bought this book called "The Success Principles-How to Get from where you are to where you want to be." So far I've read chapter 1, and it's a GREAT read. Makes you want to take action on your goals/dreams RIGHT away! I'm going to share parts of chapter 1 so that you can see what I'm talking about. WARNING-after I share this with you, you might start taking SMALL STEPS to change what's wrong in your life. It's really THAT powerful.


 In chapter 1, it says "Slow down and pay attention. Life will always give you feedback about the effects of your behavior if you will just pay attention. If your golf ball is always slicing to the right, if you're not making sales, if you're getting C's in all your college courses, if your children are mad at you, if your body is tired and weak, if your house is a mess, or if you're not happy-this is all feedback. It is telling you that something is wrong. This is the time to start paying attention to what is happening. Ask yourself: How am I creating or allowing this to happen? What am I doing that's working that I need to be doing more of? (Should I do more practicing, listening, trusting, asking questions, etc.) What am I doing that's not working? What do I need to be doing less of? (Am I talking too much, watching too much tv, spending too much $$, being late too often,etc.) What am I not doing that I need to try on to see if it works? (Do I need to listen more, exercise, follow through, do more marketing, etc.) The formula is simple-do more of what is working, do less of what isn't, and try new behaviors to see if they produce better results."


To continue the book goes on to say "The easiest, fastest, and best way to find out what is or isn't working is to pay attention to the results you are currently producing. You are either rich or your not. You are either maintaining your ideal body weight of you are not. You are either happy or you are not. You either have what you want or you don't. It's that simple. Results don't lie! You have to give up the excuses and justifications and come to terms with the results you are producing. The only thing that will change your results is to change your behavior. Prospect more, get more sales training, consume fewer calories, and exercise more frequently-these are things that will make a difference. But you have to first be willing to look at the results you are producing. The only starting point that works is reality."



What are you doing that's not working? What can you do to change it so you can have what you want? Think about it. Write down what you can change so you can work on it. Soon enough, you'll see results.

  1. Thanks for sharing the thoughts! It's always nice to be motivated. Once I finish the Whole30, I hope to quickly get back in gear with level 3-4 of Power90 (I'm only doing level 1-2 while on the Whole30). My hope is by this summer to be up to the Power90 Master Series, and by fall of next year to try P90X. WOOT!!! Thanks for all your encouragement!

  2. Razella! First off, thank YOU for taking the time to comment!!! i LOVE that I helped motivate and encourage you today!!!! I'm so glad you wrote down your goals just now. I think writing down your goals and looking at them (online or on paper) makes them seem MORE REAL-which helps you see your reality more! You get what you put into it! Focus on doing what you know is right, and you will see results!!! By the way... You have GREAT goals!!! Power 90 is a GREAT place to start! I LOVE power 90! If you work power 90 into your routine, your body will start getting used to it, and before you know it, you'll be ready for a challenge in no time! And P90x is soo worth trying once you're ready! I have a feeling you are going to do GREAT things-you already have such a great mindset!! Keep up the GREAT work! Can't wait for you to share all of your success!
